FUHWE

As the Creative Director for Hop & Jaunt I worked hand in hand with the FUHWE founders to consult on both the branding and business strategy of launching a new app. Managed and build the branding and launch strategy for New Orleans based tech startup, FUHWE – a travel platform connecting visitors looking for authentic tours with locals keen to share their expertise and passions. If it sounds familiar, a larger better known SF tech company rolled out a similar concept called “Experiences” a year later 😉

The logo design was inspired by the pineapple, a traditional symbol for hospitality, and makes reference to both the fleur-de-lis, emblem of the pioneer city, and the waves of the Mississippi. The vibrant color scheme used across the branding and promotional material draws from the Grenadian flag, the founders’ place of residence.

 

I directed, edited, and animated the app launch video.

 

I also orchestrated a launch event held at a local brewery, to attract potential FUHWE Local Hosts to sign up to be featured on the app, as well as introduce the concept to the test market to Explorers and Locals alike. Over 100 people attended the launch event.
