Qadium Rebrand Concepting

How do you create a brand with no name? Qadium, the leader in securing the Invisible Web, was in the middle of renaming their company. They needed help to build their brand identity quickly so they could launch a new site, a new office, and their new name by the end of the year.

Working together with Deckhand, I worked to create a brand identity through building up their visual identity. Their product and services, while cutting edge, is still a new concept for most of the market. To really help them communicate the complexities of the problem they were solving I began by creating visual elements that “showed, not told” the story of protecting the “invisible internet” using topographical graphics, danger/safe color palettes, living logo marks, and into the wire-framing and prototyping of the website.

I wanted to push the visuals to convey as much information and meaning, even at the high level stage, and even in the mockup stages worked with motion graphics to bring the designs to life. Pushing to illustrate a “continuously evolving, moving, and rapidly expanding landscape of the unseen web.”

This was a 30,000 ft view approach to building a new identity, and not your traditional rebrand project. I worked to build up the high level brand identity then piecing it down to assets that could be utilized across channels in the future. Working together with the leaders of the company to help navigate the unseen through design.

Concept Art I created for “Living Logo”:

The work shown here is work I personally worked, the project spanned several weeks in conjunction with the talented team at Deckhand. Due to the fact that this is Work In Progress I’ve chosen to only show my personal work throughout the project.
